Plain Toor Dal also known as toovar dal or arhar dal. It is a dull yellow split pea with an earthy taste. Toor dal is a good source of protein and is high in dietary fiber. Always soak beans and pulses overnight or for a minimum of 8 hours, drain away the
water, rinse and boil in fresh water for a minimum of 15 minutes.
