Classic Indian Mughal

A classic Mughal dish is a combination of Indian and Persian cuisine noted for its distinctive aroma and types of whole spices.

Ingredients you will need:

  • 500g of Chicken 
  • MDH Bombay Biryani Masala spice mix
  • Cooking oil
  • Peeled potatoes
  • Chopped onions
  • Chopped tomatoes
  • Garlic ginger paste
  • Lemon juice
  • Salt
  • Yoghurt

How to cook:

  1. Soak the Basmati rice of about 500g in water for a continuous 20-minute interval.
  2. Cut the 500g chicken into pieces for easier marinating. Marinade it in a mixture of garlic ginger paste, lemon juice, yoghurt, and salt for around 30 minutes.
  3. Heat the cooking oil in a pan. Saute the chopped onions and peeled potatoes until they are light brown.
  4. Add MDH Biryani Masala into the pan. Throw in the chopped tomatoes and continue stirring the ingredients.
  5. Add the meat cubes. Pour in about 3 cups of water and let it simmer for another 20 minutes. Wait until the meat is adequately cooked and is tender enough before removing it from the heat. 
  6. Add it in layers to a pan of rice. Garnish and serve.
